Little Eris~Molecules Are Us

Did this drawing a few weeks before Little Eris, asked me for a drawing, once she told me the title of her album of Twee Eletronica 'Molecules Are Us'. This drawing was staring back at me, it was perfect for her tiltle.

 Poster design for 'Gym Gym' that's Gwion of Jen Jeniro he also puts on events, even festivals, such as the 'Gwyl Gwydir'.

This doodle was the first of many for when i was working on Huw M's album cover, i kind of knew the shape/composition i wanted from the word go.

  I made the album cover when Huw M approached me after he bought one of my works that i was showing at a gallery in Cardiff, I had lots of fun drawing this cover, Huw had trust in my vision & gave me total freedom. The cover i drew is now mounted & is hanging on Huw's wall at his home.
               Os Mewn Swn is low-key folk packed with melody. Huw M has been compared to the likes of other Welsh alternative pioneers such as Gorky's Zygotic Mynci & Super Furry Animals, but i like to consider him to be the Welsh Sufjan Stevens.

Some pieces of my work work selected to show at Magpie Gallery in Cardiff. One piece 'Blackbirds 2' was sold to a nice man who is a Welsh Nu-Folk musician, Huw M. He then got in touch with me to discuss doing a piece of art for the cover of an album.

Jen Jeniro ~ Geleniaeth

Album Artwork for Jen Jeniro's 2008 album Geleniaeth. They told me that the name of the band & the concept of the album was based around a story of a warrior, who on his way home from battle, stopped to rest beside a lake. The warrior woke from his sleep to a disturbance in the lake, from the water rose a swamp monster who introduced him/herself as Jen Jeniro.
                  From this story i produced the image of the band name entwined & protruding from the weeds & swampy undergrowth.

The Rabbit

Al Lewis the Welsh pop folk musician bought The Rabbit (brush & ink on paper), i mounted it & framed it for him.

Album art work for CD sleeve for pop Welsh pop folkist Al Lewis. He wanted a kind of Alice in Wonderland, chasing the white rabbit theme.

A series of gig posters spanning over 7 months for a monthly live music event organised by Cymdeithas y Iaith & Siarc Marw. Leading up to the National Eisteddfod that was situated in Cardiff that year. Familiarising Welsh bands with the local Cardiff music scene & visa~versa. It was important that the poster information was bilingual (Welsh/English).
                            I also made a series of projector images to flash up on the stage backdrop.
